ODAC & Sankofa Storytelling Arts ‘Holiday Activities & Food’ Programme

We are proud to partner with Sankofa Storytelling Arts to present a three-day performing and expressive arts club -with food- during the upcoming holidays, from 20th - 22nd December, here at Old Diorama Arts Centre.

The project is part of Young Camden Foundation’s HAF programme for children in our local community who receive Free School Meals.

The event will involve a range of create-your-own festive comics and celebrations cards by combining action packed days of drama, dance, crafts - and, of course, food.

The six different cultural festivals will be explored through the vehicle of participatory storytelling, tasting traditional inspired foods and creating imaginative solutions to sustainable sharing.

Delivered by members of our community including experienced actors and drama facilitators, as well as creative staff from Sankofa Storytelling Arts, the program will ensure that all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities have a truly positive experience.

A hot lunch is provided on each day, plus snacks, and a festive food and gift hamper will be given to each child on the last day.

This programme is delivered by a new partnership of us, Old Diorama Arts Centre, which has been at the heart of West Euston’s creative ecology since the 1970s, and Sankofa Storytelling Arts.
