WORK PARTY FOR CHEATS - 2025 SERIES
Work Party for Cheats is a communal space for getting the stuff done that you just can’t get done. In just over two hours, we will endeavour to resolve as many unfinished tasks as we can, using all the skills and energy in the room to swap, steal and cheat our way out of our stuckness. Because doing other people’s work is easier than doing your own work, and collective satisfaction is better than individual smuggery.
Led by artist Rachael Clerke, this series of workshops will run throughout 2025 at Old Diorama Arts Centre, offering a fun and collaborative way to tackle your to-do list. Whether it’s admin, a creative block, or something you think can’t be solved, this event can help.
What to Expect
To take part, bring an unfinished or unresolved task along with anything you think might be useful in resolving it. Even if it feels impossible to solve, bring it anyway—you’ll be amazed by what the group can achieve together.
The Artist: Rachael Clerke
Art Business Ltd is an art business, project and performance by the Bristol-based artist [formerly known as Sole Trader] Rachael Clerke. Rachael makes artworks that sit somewhere on the edge of live art and community infrastructure; playful experiments about what real life might look like if we were less concerned with what real life ‘should’ look like. They are part of Interval, a collective of artists sharing space and resources above St Nicholas market in Bristol.

Work Party For Cheats at ODAC
Back in 2022, ODAC launched an open call for exploratory projects that brought together creative communities, under the question of 'What conditions do you need to thrive as a creative?.' ODAC commissioned development of Work Party For Cheats as one of these projects. It was hit back then, and we're delighted to bring it back, on a monthly basis, as a useful regular space to meet new creatives and get stuff done!
